About Us

Tammie

Born and raised in the heart of Hunterdon County, I've always had a passion for community and connection. After graduating from HCRCS in 1990, I found my calling in the buzzing atmosphere of a local barbershop. Those early days honed my skills and ignited my love for the craft. Life took a delightful turn when I decided to take a few years off to raise my two wonderful children. During that time, I found fulfillment and joy in coaching youth sports, becoming deeply involved in mentoring the next generation. In 2005, I returned to the world of barbering, joining the team at Boro Barbershop. It wasn't long before I felt the pull to take the helm, and in 2013, I proudly became the owner. Since then, it's been my mission to not only provide top-notch grooming services but to create a warm, welcoming space where every client feels like family. Beyond the barber chair, you'll often find me enjoying life's simple pleasures with my husband Mike and our extended family. Whether we're exploring new destinations, camping under the stars, or engaging in some friendly competition on the pickleball court, every moment is treasured. At Barbershop, it's more than just a haircut; it's about building lasting connections and making every individual feel valued and appreciated.

Missy

Meet Missy, a familiar face in Flemington Boro with a passion for hair and a heart for her community. Born and raised right here in Flemington, Missy's roots run deep in this vibrant town, except for a memorable stint in Germany during her adventurous early twenties.
After graduating alongside her friend Tammie from HCRHS and the cosmetology program in 1990, Missy dove headfirst into the world of hairdressing. She began her career at a local salon before spreading her wings and working in Whitehouse. It was during her time in Germany, living and working on an Army base, that Missy discovered her knack for barbering.
Upon her return to the States, Missy reunited with Tammie at a barbershop, where she further honed her barbering skills. In 2014, when the opportunity arose to reunite with Tammie at Boro Barbershop, Missy leaped at the chance, quipping that she hasn't had a formal job interview in over 30 years.
Known for her warm smile and genuine interest in her customers, Missy cherishes the bonds she forms with each person who sits in her chair. It's not just about the haircut; it's about the conversations, the shared stories, and the sense of belonging.
Outside of the barbershop, Missy finds joy in spending time with her husband Pete, whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen, and exploring the great outdoors through camping adventures. With her warm demeanor and skilled hands, Missy is not just a barber; she's a cherished member of the Boro Barbershop family.
